so many studios was forced to stay on outdated hardware because there was no need to update as the updates just broke everything. update breaks many things, while not add ANYTHING of substance. Apple updates are not like windows updates, each. The stop support for VST plugins, in favor of Audio Units, so I had to wait YEARS before everything was eventually ported over, yes now there are many AU and Mac plugins, but in the beginning it was NOT a fun time to be a mac user using inferior PPC chips and outdated plugins and waiting years to finally be where you were in 1999 some time in 2000 and something.Īnd then each update they have, although the same as the last, broke things.
First they switched from the PPC chips to Intel Chips. Since I switched over to apple from windows back in the year 1999, its been a nightmare.
